Big oil - BP - Tony Hayward: Rotting in hell is TOO GOOD for you!

If you EVER had any doubt that big oil was ruthless and without feeling and unscrupulous and without morality - LISTEN to this video! Excuse ME BP! We'd like our wetlands back and our clean sand back and our wildlife back and our turtles back and our shrimp back and our fish back and WE'D LIKE OUR LIFE BACK, TOO!

I live in Michigan not on the Gulf Coast, but this horrid and disgusting and lawless and immoral event harms ALL of us - ALL of us - we are citizens of the world. I have absolutely NO words to adequately express my grief and anger toward big oil and BP. My heart aches, not only for the wildlife but for the citizens of the Gulf Coast and for my grandchildren and for their unborn children that may never, ever see what I did when I lived in the south on the Gulf Coast. It may by gone forever and that means forever, not just for a really long time.

We agree that this whole thing really just sucks. It makes me so sad to think about it - things like this just should not happen - they can be prevented.

Why oh why, did our government gave BP a pass on oversight regulations and why was there no actionable first responder/emergency response plan in place for this type of accident. I am beyond sad.

Mans greed and arrogance is to blame....the love of money and power is the root of this evil. Our planet and creatures suffer for what they have done...our children pay the price which is all too high...who are we that we think we can have our cake and eat it too.
misses Peach is sad....

I'm so glad I found your blog, I can tell I'm going to learn a lot from you.

This is such a sad story! And I'm sorry but that guy did not seem very sincere when he apologized.

This could have easily have been prevented and now the world will never be the same.

Thanks for telling me about the chihuahua being a war dog. Did not know that! See, I'm learning already!

We don't often post on cat blogs (BOL) -- but we took a look and saw the video of Mr. Heyward asking for his life back and had to comment. When our Mom heard him say that while she was having dinner she almost threw her plate and her fork and her glass at the TV set. He is without a doubt the most insensitive creature imaginable in this time of horror.

We so agree with you. It's hard to think of anything else but all those humans and animals alike who are losing the world they knew.

Wirey woofs,

Jake and Just Harry

Thank you for your post. We so agree! Our human just about lost it when she heard what Hayward said ... He is the poster child for corporate greed and arrogance. Our government has a revolving door that's spinning 24/7 ... always open to corporate criminals. Too late to put that genie back in the bottle ...

Oh gosh. Is that massive oil spill interfering with golfing and dinners at his club? I think I'm choking up a little. Oh, wait, that's just vomit.

As a species, we have a long way to go before we reach our true potential.
The sad thing is that he doesn't care about public-opinion, he cares about his stockholders, who care about net-profit.
The best way to defeat this arrogent man is to curb our petrol use. As long as we need his oil, he can do whatever he wishes with little ramification to his precious bottom-line.

(Thanks for visiting, I really love your blog! We are now your dedicated followers.)

I am so agreed..I do not live in the Gulf, but have visited the preserves there, have enjoyed the vibrant communities whether it was fishing, shelling or partaking of the fabulous seafood which was par none from the gulf and afforded the people in these industries a livelihood..this is now destroyed due to greed, arrogance and complete disregard for any environment and the people that live in it...this incident was on the horizon, the possibility this could happen has now been well documented as part of BP's engineering, it is disgusting..Enron was bad..this is the most horrific evidence I have ever seen of greed and corruption..we as a people have GOT to get off oil, we just have to, there is no other solution..we must all stand strong as Americans and DEMAND that alternative fuels and technology be taken into account, yes, it will be sacrifice in the short term and it will affect YOU and ME, but as humans we CAN and should stick together..
